To support pupils with particular individual needs, sometimes my role is to work one to one, while others work in small groups or work with one of these groups. Keeping a track of your development and qualifications you have achieved will ensure that your record is kept up to date as this will help should you look to progress in your career. It helps to build a positive relationship with those that are within your team, as well as showing that there is support for one another within the structure. In my short time at Holy Spirit I already feel that I have learnt a great amount from the other staff, particularly the support staff. Each member of a team is equally as important as the other; as they will all bring something uniquely different to the team. Every member of staff within the school has a particular skill or area of expertise, so other members of staff who are not so skilled in a particular area can turn to their colleague for advice and help. It is important to remember that while you are at school, you will always be performing as part of a team, you may be asked to work exclusively with one student but at the same time you will be taking one student away from the teacher thus you with the teacher will be working as a team.
